    Description

    Akeso Healthsearch is a leading nursing and healthcare recruitment agency that partners with public and private hospitals, as well as semi-acute facilities, paediatric homecare services, residential services, and practice nursing.

    We are seeking a Director of Nursing to join our client's nursing home in Westmeath on behalf of the facility.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. To deliver high standards of nursing and social care, ensuring personalized care plans for each resident.
    2. To conduct regular audits, implement quality improvements, and ensure compliance with HIQA standards.
    3. To oversee staff induction, training, and promote innovative care practices.
    4. To maintain effective communication with staff and community agencies, fostering resident engagement.
    5. To implement and monitor Health and Safety policies, including fire safety, hygiene, and preventive maintenance.

    Requirements:

    1. A Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration.
    2. A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in elder care and 3 years in healthcare management.
    3. A post-registration management qualification in health or a related field.
    4. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    5. Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and administrative responsibilities.

    Estimated Salary Range: €60,000 - €80,000 per annum
