Accountant Recently Qualified / Finalist

Our client, a large business in the Motor sector, are looking to recruit an Accountant to join their team. The role will have one direct report, and will report jointly to the Md and Group FC.

The role will offer Hybrid working after the initial training / probationary period.

The Role:

• Responsibility and control of the accounts administration and on-site finance function. This includes budget preparation, monthly rental vehicle invoicing, vehicle invoicing, M&R invoicing.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and ancillary reports, including analysis of results against benchmarks and providing commentary on the figures to board level.
• KPI preparation and analysis with General Manager
• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Monitoring and control of costs and profitability. This includes credit card reconciliations, calculation of sales commission, stock take of parts and vehicles and stocking in vehicles.
• Stock control and analysis of same with General Manager.
• Cash, creditors & debtor's control.
• Updating and reconciliation of nominal ledger accounts.
• The preparation, in consultation with the sales divisions, of an annual volume and profit forecast.
• Liaising with other departments, suppliers and auditors to resolve queries.
• Responsibility for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training to other members of staff, particularly in the use of the dealer management system.
• General office duties within the Finance Department as required.
• Ad hoc projects will arise from time to time.

The Person:

• Recently Qualified Accountant or Finalist
• Industry experience an advantage.
• Experience of Month End Accounting.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Ability and interest in providing Financial information and support to the commercial areas of the business.
