    Description

    Your Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management (resources and fees).
  • Preparation of design & contract documentation and specifications.
  • Designing and reviewing design work of intermediate and junior engineers.
  • Design of systems including but not limited to electrical distribution, small power, lighting & emergency lighting, fire detection & alarm, ICT, security and vertical transportation.
  • Co-ordination of work with all members of design teams (architect, engineers of all disciplines, QS, etc.).
  • Ensuring that all designs and documents are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Estimating, Procurement and Cost Control on projects.
  • Compiling project reports.
  • Conceptual design studies and reports.
  • Mentoring and development of intermediate and junior engineers in the group.
  • Liaising with the supply chain and contractors to co-ordinate the successful delivery of the MEP installations.
  • Your Education/Profile:

  • Masters or Degree in Electrical Services engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8-years post-qualification experience, most of which will be in design gained within a consultancy environment.
  • Experience in design of projects across multiple sectors.
  • Chartered Engineer status (or close to achieving status).
  • Technically excellent with in-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
  • Experience in leading design teams.
  • Experience in using Revit and directing engineers using Revit.
  • Proven team player.
  • Organised and adaptable, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Competent in electrical design software.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Highly motivated, pro-active and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design of Building Services Electrical systems
  • As a senior MEP grade, a core knowledge of Building Services Mechanical systems.
