    Applications are invited for the permanent position of

    Senior Physiotherapist Cardiorespiratory:
    Surgical Critical Care and Practice Educator in St. Vincents University Hospital.


    Role Summary:
    Surgical-Critical Care To develop and co-ordinate the Physiotherapy services in surgical and critical care areas within the hospital. Critical Care areas encompass ICU, HDU, Liver Unit and surgical wards. Work planning is shared within the senior surgical team and wider cardiorespiratory team.

    Cardiorespiratory Practice Educator The post holder will work within the physiotherapy department and the broader hospital delivering education to hospital staff on competencies related to cardio-respiratory care.

    Thepost holder will facilitate the integration of acute NIV education across the organisation while endeavouring to develop and implement additional cardio-respiratory based projects in line with evidence based practice.

    This project-based work will be completed collaboratively with identified stakeholders which includes but is not limited to medical, nursing, clinical engineering and physiotherapy colleagues.

    Audit, analysis and publication of results will also be key deliverables for this post. Participation in the leadership of the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy team will form part of the post holders work. A panel may be formed to fill temporary vacancies which may arise over the next 6 months.
