My client, a leading medical device manufacturer, are seeking a Senior Purchasing Supervisor for their Galway site. This is a permanent role with hybrid work arrangements.
Responsibilities
· Material procurement, production planning and inventory control.
· Creation of integrated processes among internal functions and outside suppliers.
· Planning and analysis to ensure cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.
· Develop, implement, and maintain processes and systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
· Support new product introduction and end-of-life processes.
· Support business improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
· Provide guidance on environmental, health and safety issues to all team members.
· Mentorship, development and management of more junior team members.
Requirements
· Level 8 Degree
·3 years+ of relevant experience.
· People management experience.
· Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement knowledge & experience.
· High level of analytical, planning, numerical and organizational skills.
· Presentation and Negotiation skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of MPS/MRP ERP system.
