    Facilities Engineering Manager

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing the site's facilities and processes to optimise throughput and efficiency while ensuring customer expectations for quality and delivery are met on time and in full.

    • Monitor and manage the site's facilities and processes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
    • Recruit, mentor, motivate, and manage a team of engineers and technicians to maximise plant performance and potential.
    • Manage resources effectively to meet business requirements while controlling expenditure.
    • Promote continuous improvement across all areas of the business.
    • Review and adopt best working practices to maintain process efficiency and competitiveness.
    • Support the Management Team in ensuring the business conforms to management systems requirements.
    • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and customers.
    • Develop and introduce new products and processes to satisfy customer requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate degree in an engineering or related scientific discipline.
    • Minimum 5 years of management experience leading a facilities & technical department in a manufacturing organisation.
    • Knowledge of polymers and polymer processing is an advantage.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience managing technical capital projects.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience managing new product/process development and introduction.
    • Knowledge of labour, health and safety, and environmental legislation.
    • Excellent communication and team building skills.
    • Negotiation and consultation skills.
    • Recruitment and personnel development skills.
    • Budget preparation and management skills.
    • Knowledge of GMP and accredited QHSE systems.
