Description
Job Description
Environmental Geoscientist / Hydrogeologist, Dublin
RPS is seeking an Environmental Geoscientist / Hydrogeologist to join our Sustainability Team in Ireland (ROI). Our team works on projects across various sectors, including renewable energy, circular economy, public infrastructure, manufacturing, and commercial development. We provide high-quality and commercially focused solutions to address environmental challenges.
We specialize in all areas of the built and natural environment, shaping the future of our environmental, social, and economic landscapes. This role is primarily based in Dublin, with offices also available in Cork, Galway, Kilkenny, and Sligo.
About The Role
You'll work on a wide range of projects, enabling you to develop your understanding of geo-environmental assessment methods, including policy and legislative frameworks at both local and national levels. You'll gain knowledge and experience from working with senior colleagues across RPS business units.
You will provide support to the team by conducting data assessment and evaluation, desk-based technical report writing and research, developing conceptual site models, conducting site visits and appraisals, and assisting with management of project tasks.
About You
About The Team
Our team has extensive experience in conducting brownfield geo-environmental assessments focused on identifying and reducing risks to controlled waters, sensitive habitats, and human health. We come from diverse backgrounds, including civil and environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, and ecology.
Key Skills / Qualifications
We'd like you to have at least 3 years of professional experience in a geo-environmental role, for example, applying contaminated land risk assessment methods and communicating environmental liability within a consultancy context.
You'll be confident providing oversight of ground investigations, have a good knowledge of preliminary environmental risk assessments, and demonstrable experience delivering technical outputs to a high standard.
About RPS
RPS is a leading global multi-disciplinary consultancy. We need a mix of experiences and skills to develop the most innovative ideas. We respect one another and recognise the potential and contribution of everyone.
You will have the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging projects, where different perspectives, styles of thinking, and ideas are encouraged.
We offer a choice of work flexibility, with agile offices and hybrid working offered as standard. We are an accredited training provider and will support your learning and development.
This is a workplace that works for you, where you are not a number, but part of the solution.
