Job DescriptionElgin Energy is looking for a Financial Accountant, on a permanent basis, reporting to the Finance Manager.

What you will do:

Managing the day-to-day finance functions, including reviewing reconciliation of all bank accounts and oversight of intercompany transactions;Preparation and review of month-end reporting process and accounts;Production of consolidated monthly management accounts together with supporting financial analysis and commentary;Contribution to internal and external reporting requirements;Preparation and review of VAT returns in Ireland and the UK;Co-ordinate and prepare annual audit pack for external auditors;Answering ad hoc queries from both internal and external stakeholders;Collaboration with various business units within the Elgin group.

Your profileThe ideal candidate will have:

ACA/ACCA qualification with 1+ year PQE;Experience in quarterly / annual management accounts preparation through to consolidation across multiple jurisdictions extremely desirable;Strong foundation in financial accounting;Advanced Excel skills;Excellent communication skills and a willingness to engage immediately across a variety of teams;Ability to work on own initiative as part of a growing finance team and company overall.
