    The Senior Technical Program Manager is responsible for driving strategic projects to ensure successful deployment of AI/GPU capacity at Microsoft leased datacenters. This role will partner closely with the Data Center Engineering (DCE) team to assess engineering feasibility, bring clarity to AI/GPU deployment requirements and drive standardization. This role is responsible for establishing a robust technical assessment and deployment process to retrofit AI/GPU racks at existing leased datacenters. This role will partner with stakeholders to assess technical risks and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize the business impact.

    In partnership with the Data Center Engineering (DCE), this role is responsible for supporting pilot deployment of custom high-density racks at leased datacenters including coordination with the lease providers on technical feasibility.

    This role will provide program management, technical support, and overall leadership for strategic projects and as well as driving process improvements to improve related Objectives & Key Results (OKRs).

    The role of the AI Technical program Manager requires strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, ability to self-direct, strong background in data center design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements and an emphasis on project management, and datacenter lease market experience.

    Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree AND experience in engineering, and product/technical program management
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing cross functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working in the Data Center industry.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in engineering and technical program management.
  • Experience managing cross functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Proven collaborator, working closely with multiple teams and subject matter experts.
  • Experience leading complex negotiations/initiatives to successful completion.

  • In partnership with stakeholders, drive strategic projects to ensure business meets the targeted AI/GPU capacity commitments.
  • Own the successful delivery of your organization's OKRs (Objective and Key Results) related to AI/GPU technical compliance and deployment.
  • Define and launch the rack deployment process for new leases and as well as retrofits at existing lease sites.
  • Drive technical projects from requirements through launch, including managing complex project schedules, removing roadblocks, and keeping processes running smoothly.
  • Analyze data to identify, prototype, and drive the implementation of technical and process improvements to increase the predictability, agility, and quality of our capacity deployment systems.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for project delivery delays caused by technical scope gaps and drive deployment of solutions that can be socialized globally across lease projects.
  • Applying a 'growth-mindset' philosophy to the day-to-day tasks and ensuring that any deficiencies identified within the processes/framework are addressed and improvements are implemented.
  • Report project progress, risk matrix, delays, root causes and mitigations as required.
