Software Engineer (Java)

Dublin - Hybrid My client, a market-leader in the Consulting space, is looking for a seasoned Software Engineer with expertise in Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot and REST API's.

You will be responsible for the development of innovative software applications while supporting globally recognised clients in the Financial Services space on some of their most impactful projects to maximise the power of their products.

Software Engineer (Java) - Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop applications through the full SDLC in different client settings.
Create functional design documentation.
Maintain high-quality code and unit testing standards.
Perform Root Cause Analysis and escalate coding defects.
Take part in Code Reviews and peer programming.
Test, Debug, and troubleshoot applications as necessary.
Software Engineer (Java) -
Required Experience: 4-8 years' experience of hands-on development of Core Java-based applications.
Strong experience on Spring Bootand Spring MVC.
Demonstrable experience building Rest API's with a knowledge of Microservices-based architecture.
Experience with application containers e.g. Docker, Kubernetes.
Knowledge and experience of working with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Maven.
Exposure to ActiveMQ and other messaging technologies.
Experience in front end technologies e.g. HTML, JavaScript, Angular, CSS.
