    Responsibilities

  • In a preventative maintenance approach organise the technical factory support team to maintain all plant and machinery to the highest levels of asset care across all production areas moulding, welding, grinding, packaging, and all automation systems, including material feed systems and product transfer systems.
  • Air compressor and supply systems maintenance – service contracts and internal PM's.
  • Water cooling systems, Mould cooling including chillers, tanks and pipe distribution systems, internal PMs, and service contracts.
  • Electrical distribution to the plant, maintenance of the system supported by competent Electrical Engineer.
  • Management of Electrical contractors.
  • Automation – PM management of all automation systems, working with supply contractors keeping automation system in excellent condition, moulding, welding, and grinding conveyor systems, packaging automation system, mould auxiliary equipment.
  • Material feed system including silos, day bins, pipework, and control systems.
  • Preventative maintenance approach to injection moulding machine, mould tools, welder machines and all grinding line related machines.
  • Ensuring PM plans as per machine supplier recommendations is maintained to the highest level of asset care.
  • Promote and implement TPM projects.
  • Support Operations Manager in the most efficient machine selection for future projects or replacement of existing equipment.
  • Motivate and develop the technical team of senior technicians, technicians, and apprentices.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of world class preventative maintenance thinking.
  • Support industry 4.0 thinking and projects.
  • Continually research best in class manufacturing methods to enhance the business.
  • Have a team prepared and ready to go to support sister companies in problem solving and improvement projects implementation.

  • Profile of the candidate

  • Engineering Degree – preferable in Injection moulding / Polymer.
  • Good general knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical / automation systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering practical, scalable solutions.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
