    Purchasing Manager

    About the Role:

    The Purchasing Manager is responsible for implementing global purchasing strategies that align with Quality, Safety, and cost goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and manage internal customer requirements to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
    • Negotiate quotations and secure the best terms and conditions that meet company objectives.
    • Collaborate with Procurement lead in contract negotiations to drive business growth.
    • Implement effective solutions to resolve key issues and meet customer expectations.
    • Manage order placements for new products, materials, and deliveries to optimize supply chain efficiency.
    • Lead the subcontract element in conjunction with the subcontract team to develop new supply chains and support internal subcontract reviews.
    • Analyze supplier performance data and implement corrective actions to prevent deviations.
    • Evaluate and renew contracts based on total cost of ownership (TCO) to minimize costs.
    • Support Indirect Procurement efforts, covering Sustainability, Engineering, Capital, and Consumables, by collaborating with relevant teams in negotiations and contract implementation.
    • IDentify and mitigate risks, updating risk registers as necessary.
    • Provide ongoing support to Cork Procurement organization and other site procurement teams.
    • Evaluate new suppliers by collecting and administering supplier evaluation information and conducting pre-audit assessments.
    • Organize joint meetings to identify opportunities for TCO savings.
    • Establish robust supply chains to meet product needs and foster good relationships with suppliers.
    • Maintain ongoing monitoring of supplier services through evaluation and audit plans, and implement supplier audits.
    • Drive cross-functional actions to improve performance and reduce costs.
    • Identify possibilities for contract improvements and renegotiations.

    Requirements:

    • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent required.
    • Preferred: Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent Purchasing qualification.

    Estimated Salary:

    $85,000 - $110,000 per year
