    EHS Advisor for Mechanical and Electrical Contractor in Dublin

    Location: Dublin City, Dublin

    Employment Type: Permanent

    Work Location: Multi Sites

    Salary: €40K-€45K per year

    Experience: 1+ years of experience required

    Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

    Our client is a leading Mechanical, Electrical & Maintenance Contracting Company in Ireland, expanding its operations nationwide and overseas. They serve clients across various sectors, including Pharmaceutical, Data Centres, Healthcare, and large Commercial Projects.

    The company is seeking an EHS Advisor to support overall Health & Safety efforts. The successful candidate will ensure that workplace practices and procedures meet safety legislation and standards are maintained. This role is based in Dublin and surrounding areas depending on sites.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct regular site audits, observations, and inspections as directed by the Safety Management System and applicable legislation.
    2. Maintain records of statutory inspections for all activities and plant equipment.
    3. Liaise with site supervision on shortfalls, necessary improvements, and report back to the EHS Manager.
    4. Investigate incidents and accidents, capturing information onto the HSMS.
    5. Accompany and assist with site inspection visits as required by the Health & Safety Authority.
    6. Deliver Health & Safety induction programs for new employees and contractors.
    7. Manage Personal Protection Equipment requirements.
    8. Represent the company at H&S related weekly site meetings and keep minutes.
    9. Organize and chair Safety Meetings for Contractors and Sub-Contractors personnel.
    10. Evaluate sub-contractor safety statements, documentation, and records.
    11. Assist Site Management in drafting and communicating RAMS.
    12. Compile, update, and communicate Emergency Plans.
    13. Inspect site safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and first aid boxes.
    14. Collect and collate relevant information for the Safety File and prepare for handover to the Client.
    15. Liaise with management on Training requirements.
    16. Facilitate toolbox talks.
    17. Support ISO audit compliance and H & S related tasks as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Recognized EHS Qualification
    • Minimum 1 year's experience
    • Previous experience with M&E Contractors on Construction Sites a distinct advantage
    • Able to work across multiple sites
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
    • Valid Irish Driver's license required
    • Valid SAFE PASS and Manual handling certificates
    • A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
