Waystone provides its clients with the guidance and tools to allow them to focus on managing their investment goals with confidence and is looking for a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join our Investment Operations team in Leeds.

    The business has an Investment Operations function that supports the centralisation of a range of activities that cover the full lifecycle of an investment fund. The Leeds team will help establish this "hub and spoke" model which includes building and collaborating with a team based in Mumbai as well as delivering high quality outputs to the business teams located across Europe.

    The role will suit someone with a strong background in Investment Fund administration and comfortable using large Fund accounting data sets. Candidates should be familiar with using some of the industry standard tools available to deliver Regulatory Reporting to various regulatory and industry bodies and be confident in dealing with third party providers that support Waystone.

    Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

    Strategic Focus

    • Support and review business process and system changes, ensuring business accuracy around all documentation and impacts to service delivery.

    Operational Management

    • Ensure all task procedures are followed in order to result in accurate Regulatory Reporting. On an ongoing basis, ensure all procedures are maintained and that they reflect updates brought about from internal policy or regulation changes.
    • Support the continued creation of the "hub and spoke" operating model, ensuring offshore hub is established with appropriate controls.
    • Respond to enquiries promptly, proactively handling issues, and striving for the highest levels of customer service.

    People Leadership

    • Develop and maintain relationships with Waystone internal teams (e.g., Investment Compliance, Investment Risk, Client Services, IT, Oversight, Finance, Compliance, Product and Change Delivery)

    Governance & Risk

    • Ensure all internal and external service levels and regulatory deadlines are met within the Regulatory Monitoring and Reporting Team.

    Experience & Personal Attributes

    • Knowledge of UK & EU fund legislation, Fund Administration, and the regulatory environment
    • Previous experience of Regulatory Reporting, e.g.: MIFID, PRIIPS, DCPT, CTI & AIFMD Annexe IV.
    • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Excellent analytical skills with particular focus on investment / market data
    • The ability to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
    • Proven ability to operate independently and take the initiative.

    Desirable

    • Previous experience in a Middle Office or Investment Operations.
    • Familiar with Transaction capture and Trade life cycle.
    • Relevant industry exams (e.g., IOC, IMC)
    • Previous experience of working with large data sets and comfortable with the use of Power BI, SQL & VBA.
    • Be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills and communicate complex issues.
    • Knowledge of Market Data Vendor systems, Bloomberg & Morningstar Direct.
