    Description

    Title: Janitor - 2 position available

    Reports to: Area Manager

    Contract Type: Permanent, Full time.

    Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

    Location: Mitchelstown, Cork.

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

    This job exists first of all to provide a daily cleaning service on client site as per site specific specification and working to a high standard and secondly to manage the evening team.

    MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITY

    Carrying out site specific cleaning tasks as per specification supplied in site folder and instructions from Area Supervisor or Client.

    Complying with Health and Safety requirements both on client site and company premises.

    Filling in appropriate site paperwork, e.g. sign in sheets at security, toilet check sheets, incident reports etc.

    Completing necessary stock order sheets and timesheets.

    Participating in performance appraisals and training assessments with supervisor.

    Highlighting any Health and Safety issues on site to supervisor or person responsible in the company for health and safety (Health and Safety Officer).

    Complying with Health and Safety requirements both on client site and company premises.

    Carrying out any corrective actions required as a result of Internal Quality Audits.

    Maintain good working relationship with the Client on site on the day to day basis.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION

    Performance Skills:

    Communication, organisation, listening skills, diplomacy, multi-tasking skills.

    Takes pride in and understands importance of finishing tasks.

    Technical Skills/ Qualifications:

    • Trained in relevant cleaning tasks on site.
    • Communicative English language skills, spoken, written and understanding.
    • Ability to use various items of cleaning equipment.
    • Customer service skills.
    • Risk assessment knowledge desirable - training given.

    Experience:

    Some experience within the contract cleaning industry desirable although full training provided.
