- Provides access to safe equipment and adequate supplies in an efficiently arranged physical environment that demonstrates care.
- Assists the Cancer Service and Hospital in achieving their goals by providing leadership and direction to staff at the Outpatient Cancer Centre.
- Identifies appropriate internal controls for the department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
- Maintains performance standards and promotes fair labour practices while recruiting and retaining competent, compassionate employees.
- Monitors and evaluates patient care processes and outcomes in the patient care unit to ensure competent, compassionate, and efficient care is provided.
- Outpatient Cancer Center KPI reporting
- Operates and participates in continuous quality improvement and risk management programs at the unit level.
- Attends staff meetings, and reads emails and other postings.
- Enhances the collegial consultant-nursing relationship recognising the value in the development of a respectful working environment.
- Candidate needs to perform any other duties as required.
- Ensure Outpatient Cancer Center data sets are available and reportable
- Should have a valid NMBI PIN.
- Should hold a postgraduate qualification in Oncology Nursing.
- Hold a post-graduate degree in management.
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience plus two years of progressive management experience is required.
- It is preferred that you have three years of experience in Oncology, Haematology, or Palliative Care.
