    Job Description

    We are seeking a Senior Lymphoedema Physiotherapist to join our primary care team in Co. Clare.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage a clinical caseload of patients with lymphoedema.
    • Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
    • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to set and achieve goals.
    • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and document client records accordingly.
    • Provide services in various locations as needed, ensuring high-quality care.
    • Participate in relevant meetings and contribute to quality standards within the department.
    • Ensure adherence to confidentiality, ethics, and legal standards at all times.

    Professional Development:

    • Pursue ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
    • Engage in the education and training of student therapists and staff development initiatives.
    • Participate in performance reviews and personal development planning to ensure continuous growth and improvement.

    Health and Safety:

    • Foster a safe working environment by adhering to policies and safe practices.
    • Identify and address potential risks, reporting incidents and equipment issues promptly.
    • Comply with Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards to ensure exceptional patient care.
    • Sustain environmental initiatives within healthcare services to promote a healthier planet.

    Administrative and Interpersonal Skills:

    • Contribute to the development and optimization of Physiotherapy services within the department.
    • Collect, analyze, and present data to inform service improvements and audits.
    • Represent the Physiotherapy department at meetings and conferences to foster collaboration and innovation.
    • Embrace emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
    • Embody diversity, equity, and respect within the workplace culture.

    Requirements:

    • Hold a recognized degree in physiotherapy and be registered with the relevant professional body.
    • Demonstrate expertise in lymphoedema management, including evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and sound judgment.
    • Display a strong understanding of the physiotherapy process, underpinning theory, and its application to this role.
    • Exhibit excellent clinical and professional judgment consistent with accepted models of physiotherapy practice.
    • Commit to ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
    • Demonstrate a willingness to develop IT skills relevant to this position.
    • Possess essential skills in planning, resource management, teamwork, communication, commitment to quality service delivery, and evaluating information.
