    Barden are delighted to partner with a leading global ecommerce organisation to support them with a Senior Product Manager appointment. Our client is the leading global marketplace for unique and creative goods that connects millions of entrepreneurs with millions of buyers around the world. This role will form an integral part of the 'Money Movement' squad, who are at the forefront of managing the flow of funds from buyers to sellers, ensuring transactions are processed rapidly and efficiently.

    This is a 15 month contract role, offering an excellent opportunity to accumulate valuable experience in a highly positive work environment. It will operate as a hybrid role in their office in Dublin, and the team comes into the Dublin City Centre office 1-2 days per week.

    ABOUT THE TEAM

    The payments team facilitates the highest stakes customer experiences – whether it's facilitating a checkout from a buyer who's purchasing a gift for a loved one or paying out millions to sellers who run their own business on our client's platform. Critical to these customer interactions is the ability to capture funds from buyers and then transferring that value on to sellers. The Money Movement team manages this critical function – maximizing for speed, efficiency, and cost. The team is also actively growing our client's core processing capabilities to ensure they can reach more customers in new countries, while adding support for their local currencies.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As an integral part of the innovative Money Movement team, your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of engineers to further expand our client's core payment processing capabilities for both buyers and sellers. Your role will demand effective collaboration with a diverse range of cross-functional partners, including Engineering, Analytics, Treasury, Revenue Accounting, Legal, Vendor Management, and external partners. Your product leadership and strategic coordination are essential for successfully implementing critical new payment integrations aimed at growing our client's customer base, thereby making a significant contribution to financial operations.

    ABOUT THE PERSON:

    • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Product Manager who is comfortable with technical language and processes.
    • Technical knowledge & understanding & the ability to work cross functionally with different teams in addition to being data driven.
    • An individual who can share clear milestones and expectations for a project would be a key requirement for this opportunity.
    • Experience with 3rd party integrations and external partners for projects. Example being credit card processing and website payment connections.
    • Ideally someone who has experience undertaking projects in conjunction with finance.

    • Inspiring, engaging and clear communication style; optimistic and forward-looking
    • Natural collaborator who knows how to drive decision-making with Engineering, Product Design, and analytics.
    • Experienced with using qualitative and quantitative data to make product decisions. You also know when and how to balance data with intuition.

    Nice-to-Haves

    • You have experience in e-commerce. Working with payments systems and vendor integration to process payments and move money is a strong plus.
    • A drive to be a passionate member of our clients community and someone who believes in their vision, mission and values
    • A technical background giving you a shared vocabulary with engineering and ability to understand complex systems.
