As part of this transformation, we're now hiring a Digital Product Manager, a pivotal role that will shape, optimise, and elevate our digital products across the organisation.
This is a unique opportunity to join one of Ireland's most innovative health insurers and play a central part in delivering smarter, simpler, and more personalised digital experiences for our members.
As Digital Product Manager, you'll define, deliver, and continuously enhance digital products that support our key domains, including Member Services, Claims Experience, Connected Health, Distribution, and Clinics.
You will lead cross‑functional teams, drive omni-channel innovation, and ensure our digital services align authentically with Laya's vision.You'll pair strategic thinking with hands‑on product leadership, from shaping product roadmaps to managing delivery, optimising performance, and embedding customer‑centricity into everything we build.
This role also requires strong collaboration across risk, IT, compliance, and operational teams to ensure our digital products are best in class, secure, compliant, and continuously improving.
What You'll Be DoingProduct Strategy & Roadmapping
- Develop and maintain a multi‑year digital product strategy aligned with Laya's business objectives.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor insights to influence strategic priorities and the digital roadmap.
- Lead agile, cross‑functional teams through discovery, development, optimisation, and launch cycles.
- Manage the full digital product lifecycle, including enhancements and retirement of products.
- Partner with technology, design, marketing, claims, and customer service teams to deliver high quality digital experiences.
- Combine research, feedback, and data to ensure product decisions enhance the member experience.
- Advocate for members by prioritising features that simplify, streamline, and improve digital journeys.
- Conduct or commission research to deepen understanding of member needs.
- Ensure digital products adhere to regulatory and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with risk and compliance to embed governance into the digital ecosystem.
- Establish KPIs to assess digital product performance.
- Drive continuous optimisation using insights, analytics, and performance metrics.
- Build strong business cases rooted in data driven decision making.
- Foster a collaborative culture that promotes innovation.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable delivery plans.
- 3-5+ years' experience in Digital Product Management
- Strong UX awareness with experience solving front‑end challenges (not a deeply technical role)
- Proven experience managing and prioritising product backlogs, epics, and user stories
- Experience in insurance, healthcare, or a customer‑service‑focused environment is a distinct advantage (but not mandatory)
- Skilled at running workshops and conducting research to explore or solve problem areas
- Analytical thinker with a data-led approach to decisions
- Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional leadership abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to drive initiatives independently
- Creative agency experience welcomed
- Commercially minded with strong decision‑making capability
- Bachelor's degree required
