- Carry out high standard, best practise, clinical imaging when required and be professionally responsible for all aspects of own work, maintaining highest standards of patient care.
- Maintain an effective and efficient high quality radiographic service for the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
- Demonstrate flexibility in accordance with the various shift patterns and the service needs of the Department, and partake in the Departments' radiographic rota.
- Participate in an on-call rota basis as and when required.
- Perform Intravenous cannulation as and when required.
- Ensure that local and national Radiation Protection Rules are applied at all times and to be familiar with all legislation and guidelines contained within the Local Rules for Ionising Radiation.
- BSc (Hons) in Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent
- CORU registration and maintenance of such is essential
- Minimum 1 year post graduate experience is desirable
- Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound imaging skills and experience to include General, Upper Abdominal, Pelvic, TV, Small Parts, Vascular Ultrasound (Carotid and Leg Venous) is desirable
- Post graduate diploma in Ultrasound desirable
