    Job Brief

    The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering our vision by supporting individuals to gain valued social roles and participate in meaningful creative activities. They will work closely with service users to develop individual plans and advocate on their behalf.

    • Experience working in a person-centered manner
    • A genuine passion for upholding the ethos of our services
    • Ability to problem-solve and think creatively when responding to individual needs
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and respond to individual requirements

    Other Duties Involved

    (Duties may include but are not limited to the following)

    • Contributing to local service planning and development, ensuring the evolving needs of the service are met
    • Providing personal care and support to service users as needed
    • Maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to Western Care Association's Dignity at Work Policy and Health & Safety guidelines
    • Ensuring safety protocols are in place across all environments, aligning with organizational practices
    • Employing positive approaches to support individuals with challenging behavior, consistent with organizational standards

    Qualification Details

    No minimum qualification required for Social Care Assistant positions.

    Other Requirements

    • A full driver's license is mandatory
    • All applicants will undergo Irish Garda Vetting and reference checks
    • Applicants from outside the E.U. must provide relevant work authorization to take up employment in Ireland, submitting it alongside their application
    • Applicants from countries outside the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland who have resided there for more than 6 months since the age of 18 years will need to obtain Overseas Police Clearance

    Salary Scale

    Social Care Assistant Pay Scale (Scale Range €30,288 - €42,034 per annum)

    This is based on full-time working hours i.e. 39 hours per week.

    Applicants must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties associated with this post and possess a state of health indicating a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
