    Jewellery Sales Assistant - Dublin 2

    Days Required: Thursday and Saturday with the flexibility to cover holidays by mutual agreement and busy periods including Nov - Dec

    Hours of Work: 9.30 am to 5.30 pm

    The role would include the following:

    • Handling in-shop sales from our selection of high-end jewellery including engagement rings, watches and pieces from the bespoke brands exclusively stocked in Ireland at the Jewellery shop
    • Ensuring customers receive a warm welcome and have a pleasant experience in the store
    • Operating the EPOS system which is used for sales and booking in/collecting repairs - training will be provided
    • Assessing jewellery repairs and providing basic advice - there is a team of goldsmiths in store for more detailed enquiries
    • Visual Merchandising - ensuring the displays look their best at all times
    • Ensuring the inside and porch area of the shop are kept clean and tidy
    • Ensuring boxes, bags and packaging are stocked adequately on the shop floor

    Requirements:

    • Confident and friendly personality - experience in the retail jewellery trade is essential with some knowledge of diamonds, precious metals and gemstones an advantage
    • Some knowledge of basic repairs is an advantage but not essential
    • Ability to work as part of a team - we are a small staff so assisting other members of staff when required is essential
    • An eye for detail in terms of shop cleanliness and visual merchandising- ensuring customers' first experience in the shop is a pleasant one
    • Excellent communication skills
