    Kenny-Whelan (a specialist division of the CPL group) are hiring a Chemometrician for the MSAT Team to work on contract at Janssen Sciences in Ringaskiddy Cork

    We have a great opportunity for a MSAT Chemometrician to join our MSAT team at the

    Ringaskiddy site. This would be approximately a 12-month contract position.

    The MSAT Chemometrician is an integral member of the MSAT team, delivering successful

    outcomes to all MSAT activities.

    Main duties and responsibilities:

    Chemometric model maintenance

    · Lead/execute model maintenance activities.

    · Perform model updates.

    · Identify model failure (e.g., from excessive deviation).

    Chemometric model lifecycle

    · Understand lifecycle phases.

    · Perform activities to move chemometric model through lifecycle (e.g., from

    qualification to validation).

    Periodic model review

    · Perform periodic model reviews, where applicable.

    · Interact with relevant departments and personnel to acquire spectral reading for

    maintenance activities.

    New Product Introduction and Technical Transfers

    · Support technical transfers for future product introductions on site.

    New Technology Deployment

    · Lead/Support process improvement projects for established processes utilising best

    available new technology, analytical and statistical tools e.g., MVA, PAT (Raman).

    KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

    1. Specific knowledge

    § Strong expertise on pharmaceutical manufacturing (Large Molecule API) processes.

    § Familiarity with PAT management software (e.g. synTQ).

    § Statistical skills and experience with process analytic technology (e.g. Raman).

    § Strong knowledge of Quality & Compliance / regulatory requirements (GMP/EH&S).

    2. Personal and interpersonal skills / Leadership skills

    § Ability to lead cross functional team and to manage complexity and change.

    § Ability to interact at different levels of the organization, work under pressure, handle

    conflicting interests.

    § Ability to work independently under general direction, having a good sense of

    prioritization of assigned tasks goals and manage time accordingly.

    § Team player with well-developed problem-solving skills.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Essential: University degree in Engineering or Science, with a numerical focus, with

    minimum 3 years' experience in a pharmaceutical environment.

    And/or an equivalent combination of education and experience in

    1. API Manufacturing and Purification for Large molecules

    2. Quality Assurance and Regulatory

    3. Validation

    Desirable: Master's degree or Equivalent with 2 years' experience in a pharmaceutical

    environment.
