- Porting algorithms from Matlab to C.
- Creating MEX files to call C functions and verifying results in Matlab.
- Integrating, testing and optimising algorithms on embedded systems, e.g. ARM & DSP SOCs.
- Benchmarking results - quantifying changes in performance, features etc. between different software versions and configurations.
- Continuous, immersive learning through "on the job" experiences and assigned training courses (e.g. AI / ML, CUDA, DSP, UI/UX).
- Frequent interaction, information gathering and collaboration with engineers and other individuals from across the business.
Essential Criteria: - Qualification in relevant discipline.
- Proficient in C / C++.
- Competent with Matlab.
- Eager to learn / grow, even in areas beyond the initial role responsibilities.
- Excellent communication – both written and verbal (fluent English).
- Self-motivated, with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Desired Criteria: - Experience with programming and optimising DSP systems.
- Capable with Python.
- Familiar with MISRA C, ISO13849 or ISO26262.
- 4+ years' of relevant professional experience.
- Comfortable with Linux - will be used on a daily basis.
- Using task tracking software in an agile environment, e.g. Jira, Trello.
Our HQ is located in Shannon, Ireland. The role is primarily remote, but the applicant must be willing to travel on-site (Shannon, Ireland) as required, to effectively fulfil their role responsibilities.
