Job Title: Hydrogeologist

We are seeking an experienced Hydrogeologist to join our team in Ireland, focused on sustainable water resource management and environmental protection.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading environmental consultancy, serving a diverse client base including government agencies and private companies. As a Hydrogeologist, you will conduct hydrogeological assessments, manage groundwater resources, and support environmental impact studies.

Main Responsibilities:

Conduct groundwater investigations, sampling, and data analysis using modeling software to simulate groundwater flow and contaminant transport.
Develop and manage groundwater monitoring programs, assessing impacts of developments on groundwater and designing monitoring well installations.
Prepare technical reports and interpret hydrogeological data, providing groundwater management and remediation advice.
Collaborate on environmental impact assessments and risk assessments, liaising with clients and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
Perform fieldwork, adhering to health and safety protocols and requiring a full driving license and willingness to travel for fieldwork.

Requirements:

Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field; postgraduate qualification preferred.
Professional experience in hydrogeology, proficiency in hydrogeological software (e.g., MODFLOW, GMS) and experience with GIS and data analysis.
Strong report writing and communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
