    Job Description:

    We seek a diligent Financial Accountant to join our finance department. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers exposure across the entire finance function.

    This dynamic role will suit someone who has excellent attention to detail and an appetite to contribute towards an ethos of continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts in a timely manner.
    2. Balancesheet Reconciliations: Ensure accuracy of monthly balance sheet reconciliations (prepayments/accruals/etc).
    3. Annual Budgetary Process: Assist in the annual budgetary process and cashflow/forecast preparation.
    4. Fixed Asset Register: Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of the Fixed Asset Register.
    5. Finance Support: Provide support to the wider finance team (AR/AP/Payroll) when required.
    6. Business Insights: Partnering with departments across the business; providing financial analysis and delivering insights that support the strategic objectives of the company.
    7. Ad-hoc Projects: Contribute to ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.

    Ideal Candidate Requirements:

    1. Candidate Profile: Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with industry experience.
    2. Autonomy and Improvement: Ability to work on their own initiative with a focus on process and system improvement.
    3. ERP Accounting Software: Proficient in ERP/accounting software - SAP an advantage.
    4. Office Suite Skills: Skilled in MS Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel experience.
    5. Industry Experience: Experience in the construction industry is desirable, but not essential.
