    Applications are invited for the position of Retail Operations Advisor with Retail Key Accounts. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role of the Retail Operations Advisor is integral to optimising business potential by providing advice to our customer, Maxol, on all areas of store operation. This in turn has a positive impact to our customer's performance and contributes to overall brand performance.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Dedicated to MAXOL account.
    • Ensuring optimum performance of the Company's business activities in a designated area.
    • Manage customer loyalty across all commodities ensuring customers purchase all products committed under the trading and supply agreements.
    • Developing effective business relationships with customers in the area.
    • Providing customers with best practice advice on store operation, margin optimisation and assistance in their businesses.
    • Responsible for advising customers on the procedures on the maintenance of exceptional store standards of food hygiene standards.
    • Responsible for advising customers on range, implementing planograms and category layouts.
    • Implementation, measuring and advising on cyclical, seasonal and occasional promotional strategies.
    • Implementation and execution of Maxol Loyalty App activities
    • Implementation and execution of Maxol Home Grown initiative.
    • Maxol Own Brand implementation and execution
    • Ensuring Maxol Alcohol consignment model operates efficiently and maximises sales and margin by co-ordinating with Licensee and Alcohol Advisor.
    • Responsible for store audits and follow up of underperforming stores as measured by scorecards, quality assurance audits, mystery shoppers and excellence audits.
    • Working with the wider support team of Fresh Food and Alcohol advisors to implement best practice at store level.
    • To manage retailer compliance with Company policies and procedures
    • To manage retailer compliance in legislative matters.
    • Get involved, when necessary, with major and mini projects instore. This can include involvement in the planning of new store openings and existing store refits.

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Have significant retail experience and experience as a store manager in a customer-focused, standards-driven food retail organisation.
    • Have an excellent understanding of margins and appreciate the importance of effective margin management in store operation.
    • Be ambitious, with demonstrable career progression to date.
    • Be educated to leaving certificate standard, at a minimum, ideally with a relevant third level business qualification.
    • Be someone who can think strategically as well as operationally.
    • Possess strong interpersonal skills.
    • Have strong numerical and I.T. skills.
    • Have the ability to adhere to tight deadlines and will be motivated to achieve results.
    • Be someone who both works well as part of a team and on their own initiative.
    • Have a passionate focus on business performance as well as personal development.
