- Run or support tenders from Regional Hubs in (DE, US, CN, IN) as well as from 50 Sales Center worldwide
- Plan and develop tender documents including clarification of legal and business requirements and issues
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements to develop comprehensive tender RFQs
- Execute tender with electronic tendering tools
- Manage the evaluation process to agreed timeframes and internal deadlines
- Calculate and benchmark transportation costs in tender and for spot requests
- Given the RFP results, prepares recommendations for Steering Team decision-making
- Communication with Logistics Service Providers
- Regular monitoring of tender success and analysis of success factors
- Handover and close cooperation to Implementation Team and other stakeholders
- Support the team in ensuring agreed elements of contracts are adhered to and delivered by the LSPs
- Any other duties commensurate with your skills and experience and as directed by your manager in the development of the role and the G-LOC overall
- Degree with a focus on logistics and or strong experience in logistics tender management especially in CEP
- Experience buying logistics service – air and ocean services
- A high degree of self-direction, initiative, and commitment
- Solution oriented with proven experience solving problems and implementing efficiencies
- Experienced in tender documents development
- Good knowledge of electronic tender tools, Excel, MS Word and Power Point
- Experienced in negotiation management
- Fluent spoken and written knowledge of English, one additional language like German and Chinese are an advantage
