    Job Description:

    The primary role of this position is to develop new business accounts that contribute to the company's sustainable growth and profitability in line with our capabilities.

    We are seeking an entrepreneurial individual who can bring clarity and vision to our business, effectively communicating customer requirements to various cross-functional teams within the company.

    Main Responsibilities:

    1. Identify and develop new business opportunities in Ireland and the UK, exploring all possible avenues.
    2. Manage existing UK accounts to enhance their growth potential.
    3. Oversee account activities in Ireland and the UK, while identifying opportunities to expand our portfolio in line with our business capabilities.

    Reporting Lines: The Business Development Manager will report directly to Derek Dunwoody, Head of Commercial, Technical & R&D.

    Key Tasks:

    1. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, proposing new development initiatives to the management team at sales meetings.
    2. Present a weekly progress report to the Head of Commercial, ensuring timely communication on any changes or updates as required.
    3. Demonstrate effective KPI management, meeting agreed targets.
    4. Evaluate new sales opportunities with potential customers, ensuring credit control validation and cost approval from the Financial Controller and Head of Commercial.
    5. Collaborate with the Procurement Manager, Financial Controller, and Head of Commercial to manage price increases when necessary.
    6. Foster knowledge of consumer needs and behaviors in the ingredients landscape.
    7. Serve as a liaison between customers and the R&D, and other technical support functions within the company.
    8. Represent AllinAll at trade events like F.I.E. when required.
    9. Coordinate product delists with internal and external stakeholders, managing costs diligently.
    10. Manage product development activities related to business development, promoting technical updates to customers through workshops.
    11. Present reports on new product launches and generate updates on product development for management and customer contacts.
    12. Ensure responsible travel expenses, leveraging grant funding and government agency support to optimize overall costs.

    Candidate Requirements:

    A background in the Food Industry, with experience in ingredients and technical fields would be highly beneficial for this role.
