- Consultation: Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their preferences and concerns, providing advice on dog grooming and recommending related products.
- Customer Engagement: Provide excellent customer service, getting to know each customer and their pet individually, and remembering their preferences and specific needs.
- Follow-Up and Follow-Through: Ensure customer satisfaction by following up after grooming appointments and addressing any feedback or concerns promptly.
- Sanitisation and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, disinfecting equipment, washing towels and grooming tools, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Product Knowledge: Maximise revenue through grooming services promotion, combining this with expert advice to support the sale of own-brand products.
- Fully flexible across 5 days, including weekends (full-time role)
- Previous hands-on experience in a grooming salon and/or QQI Level 6 Dog Grooming/City & Guilds qualification
- Proficient in all aspects of grooming and clipping all dog breeds to a high standard
- Professional attitude with effective communication skills to build trust and rapport with pet parents
- Time management: Independently prioritise and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- A passion for animals: Comfortable/confident around all breeds of dogs and treats all furry visitors as they would their own pet
- Personal development: Drives own development within the salon, reliable, asks questions, uses time effectively to learn from experienced groomers
