    Description

    My client is a leading manufacturer of material handling systems and automation solutions that support some of the world's leading manufacturing companies. Due to continued growth and expansion they have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Projects Engineer to join the team. As Mechanical Projects Engineer you will join a highly skilled group of project engineers specialising in machine design, automation and project management. You will get the opportunity to manage projects from procurement right through to the equipment delivery.

    Responsibilities

    · Contribute to all stages of project from initial proposal right through to equipment delivery

    · Design and development of requested equipment to customer requirements and expectations

    · Complete component specification to satisfy the design requirements

    · Completion of equipment design reviews both locally and at customer locations

    · Complete project planning, including identification of critical path items for both design and manufacture

    · Working closely with internal engineering functions to ensure successful time and cost management of the entire project

    · Successful time management skills are required whilst also managing the time associated with various tasks for all personnel assigned to the project team

    · Be present for all on site installations and SAT requirements' both in Ireland and Abroad

    · Discuss project with client and provide accurate costings for quotation process

    Requirements

    · Minimum of a Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering

    · Experience in machine design and exposure to automated control systems will be a distinct advantage

    · Minimum 5 years' experience in the use 3D design software, preferably SolidWorks

    · A basic understanding of PLC programming and systems communications

    · Successful history of delivering custom equipment from concept through to delivery

    · Ability to work to tight deadlines
