    Description

    My client, a rapidly growing manufacturing & distribution company who specialise in heating, hot water, ventilation & renewable energy sectors are seeking a Senior Buyer for their Dublin facility.

    Responsibilities include raw material procurement, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation. Collaborate with internal teams and report to Group Procurement Director. North Dublin €60k - €80k Responsibilities: * Source raw materials & finished goods from new & existing suppliers * Evaluate and assess suppliers, tenders, and quotations * Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms * Identify, manage, and mitigate supply chain risks * Resolve supplier issues promptly * Monitor market trends & competitor strategies * Conduct supplier performance reviews * Ensure consistency in supplier relationships * Monitor forecasts and adapt supply chain activities accordingly * Liaise with internal stakeholders * Identify cost-saving opportunities and innovate procurement processes * Prepare purchase orders and support product change requests * Manage and maintain supplier relationships effectively Skills & Attributes: * Strong relationship-building skills * Excellent negotiation and communication skills * Analytical and problem-solving abilities * Results-driven with project management skills * Commercial and financial acumen * Attention to detail and accuracy Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering preferred * 3-5 years' procurement experience * Purchasing experience in manufacturing preferred * Contract management, supplier experience * Supply chain management knowledge * Lean, Kanban implementation desirable * Self-starter, team player * Proficient in Microsoft applications * Fluent in English, both written and verbal Adecco Ireland is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
