- Develop and implement data pipelines, connecting, collecting, and storing data in usable formats for downstream applications.
- Design and develop Azure solutions and virtual applications.
- Setup and manage MQTT data brokers ensuring efficient and secure communication through the MQTT protocol.
- Configure front end dashboard views for visualization of data.
- Network Integration and Security
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate equipment into the network following Stryker security procedures.
- Configure network cards, switches, and establish firewall rules to ensure secure and reliable data transfer.
- Collect data into a structured functional and semantic unified name space.
- Learn and adopt new tools and techniques to increase performance, automation, and scalability.
- Collaborate with a cross functional team to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Lead in the validation of tools used in the data engineering pipelines and processes.
- Configure and manage database for normalized and contextualized storage of data from a wide range of data types.
- Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science or related engineering discipline with 4 or more years' experience or a related master's degree.
- Proficient with scripting languages such as Python, Java R and SQL programming languages.
- Proficient in the use of ETL tools and REST oriented API's
- Good understanding of data lakes/data warehouse solutions such as Hadoop/Snowflake
- Familiarity with the HighByte platformpreferred
- Familiarity with scrum/agile methodologies
- Familiarity with unified name space approach to data sharing.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Be open minded with the ability to recognise good ideas.
- Innovative thinker - should be able to envisage new and better ways of doing things.
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to plan, organise and implement concurrent tasks.
