Job Title: Automation Tester L2

Location: Dublin, Limerick or Castlebar, hybrid working approach, a blend of working on‐site and remotely
within Ireland

Contract: Rolling contract, Long Term or FTE or Permanent with Test Triangle Ltd.

Experience Level Required:

· A Trusted performer on a wide range of client-facing consultancy projects in either the private and public sectors.

· Ability to participate in multi-disciplinary teams and to work independently (with limited supervision).

· Performs professional level analysis requiring technical skills and independent initiative within a well-defined programme of work.

· Senior Team leader with the ability to deputise for the senior responsible person and coach and mentor more junior staff.

· Contacts with clients predominantly at a working level. Can engage with clients at a strategic/management level if required.

· Likely to have 4 to 6 years of substantial professional experience in their specialized field.

Key Responsibilities:

· Execute repeatable tests using testing tools for scenarios such as:

o Browser based transactions;

o Webservices (AIPs REST or SOAP)

o OpenRoad"FAT" client Based transactions

o Data Setup transactions

o Injection of transactions using SQL

o Batch program

o Scenario scripting using UNIX or similar scripting

o DB and/or file comparisons

· Cross browser testing.

· Apply behaviour driven development practices, style and standards used in Revenue when generating functional test scenarios.

· Review design specifications and generate test scenarios for either functional or non functional requirements.

· Write detailed acceptance criteria for automation testing (A/C).

· Identify data requirements and appropriate scalable data creation or data usage processes.

· Peer review test A/C from other team members.

· Create additional automation tests from the test scenarios.

· Monitor and maintain existing test suites.

· Raise defects (Bugs) to development.

· Documenting testing process and results.

· Support Development and Test areas utilising technical tests.

· Apply appropriate continuous testing techniques for the architecture in place.

· Adhering to Revenues Automation Testing processes and documentation standards

· Contributing to the improvement of Automation testing processes and procedures in Revenue.

· Supporting team leads in all aspects of their work.

· Develop familiarity of the processes within the domain.

Key Requirements:

· ISTQB Certified Tester.

· Experience of using Testing tools suitable for Revenue's Target IT Architecture.

· Knowledge of programming or scripting language such as Java or JavaScript.

· SQL/XML/Unix/JSON skills and associated tools.

· Experience with XML, JSON, JMS, messaging systems.

· Experience of creating acceptance criteria.

· Experience creating or expanding automation test suites.

· Experience interacting with testers, business owners and users, application development and technical colleagues.

· Experience in the breadth of different types of testing such as:

o System Testing

o User Acceptance Testing

o Regression Testing

o Disturbance Testing

· Knowledge of Testing standards and approaches.

· Ability to operate within Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid methodologies.

· All aspects of the System Test Life Cycle.

· Test Data preparation & masking.

· Strong communication and documentation skills

· Experience in providing testing estimates and providing input to documentation.
