    Title and Summary

Lead Software Engineer - Open Banking KYC & AMLOverview: Software engineers working on Mastercard's KYC & AML platform play a key role in the development and maintenance of the products that ensure our high quality connectivity to banks across Europe is frictionless, safe and secure.
Building on the strong foundation of our state-of-the-art bank connectivity APIs, the engineers create elegant, low-touch solutions that take the burden of handling customer onboarding and verification, transaction monitoring and anti-money laundering operations from customers that want to spend their efforts building great products that leverage the full potential of the open banking standard. Role:
Open banking engineers work at the bleeding edge of the account information and payment initiation technologies, often solving problems that are yet to be tackled within the industry in areas of API and data security, data accessibility, processing, and analysis. You will be joining a group of highly skilled individuals working together as a team to push the limits of what is possible to achieve with open banking. As a technical leader in the KYC & AML domain, you will be accountable for the lifecycle of entire systems and its features, ensuring a sound technical quality that will position the product for success both today and tomorrow. It is critical to create an environment where the team is able to efficiently collaborate, both internally and externally. We believe that culture comes from the top and the best way to propagate it is to lead by example. At the same time, it is expected that you will take time to mentor your teammates and help them grow. You will have many colleagues around different countries, with your nearest peers being located primarily in Denmark, Romania and Ireland. About you:
We are looking for motivated individuals that are looking to be an integral part of an established division comprised of both industry veterans as well as newcomers. What they all have in common is the understanding that in order to achieve great things, being able to work together as a team is a must. You will be spending most of your time in the Microsoft domain, meaning APIs built in C# with ASP.NET deployed to the cloud (Azure). Deep knowledge of at least some of these areas is a requirement. However, we believe that learning is a part of the job, so if you for example have extensive experience building large-scale .NET apps, but not in the cloud, do not hesitate to apply regardless. Beyond that, it is expected that you have experience with delivering larger software solutions using modern development standards, meaning it should not come as a surprise that we utilise all the tools at our disposal from standard ticketing systems (Azure DevOps), VCS, test automation, to CI/CD pipelines. Considering a large portion of the position revolves around interacting with others, it is expected that you possess excellent English language skills to effectively communicate with peers and stakeholders, in both written and spoken manner. Additionally, if you have experience with provisioning infrastructure as code as well as interest in computer security, it would be a great benefit. Prior experience from working in closely regulated industries (financial, medical, etc.) or areas that deal with handling personal information is welcome, but not required. And above all, we hope that you love solving problems
