    We are partnering with a Cork based global leader in their field to recruit an experienced Accounts Specialist. This is a full time permanent position offering competitive salary and benefits.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process and review supplier invoices ensuring timely payments to suppliers and contractors.
    • Maintain and update customer and supplier records accurately.
    • Reconcile and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable efficiently.
    • Reconcile bank statements carefully.
    • Work closely with Procurement to resolve queries promptly.
    • Manage customer invoices and ensure timely collection of outstanding amounts.
    • Track overdue accounts and follow up with customers as necessary.
    • Process customer payments and update accounts accordingly.
    • Credit management is crucial to maintaining good relationships.
    • Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and databases regularly.
    • Prepare financial reports accurately and on time.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings effectively.
    • Assist with financial audits and compliance-related tasks as required.
    • Process and record company expenses correctly.
    • Ensure accurate revenue returns.
    • Administer payroll duties efficiently.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • A proven experience in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in accounting software, SAP knowledge is desirable.
    • Strong Excel skills are essential.
    • Excellent organisational skills are necessary.
    • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are crucial.
    • The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is vital.

    Ideal Candidate

    • A qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
    • Previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of tax compliance is beneficial.
    • The candidate should be proactive, self-motivated, reliable and adaptable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
