    Sherlock Recruitment are excited to be advertising for a new position as a BIM CAD Technician for our large engineering client based in Limerick.

    As a BIM/CAD technician, you have responsibility for delivering all 2D and 3D aspects of your assigned commercial projects. The role offers excellent long-term career possibilities and is a great opportunity to work within a growing team using the latest technology.

    BIM CAD Technician Responsibilities


    • Develop and maintain all project CAD and BIM libraries,


    • Management of project CAD files, drawing registers and issue sheets


    • Producing 3D models via Revit


    • Producing 2D installation and co-ordination drawings


    • Provide front line project specific support to design/project teams


    • Taking instructions from Engineers/Project Team and producing drawings with limited supervision or direction.


    • Ensure models / documentation is developed in line with company BIM protocols and procedures


    • Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.


    • Attending regular project and coordination meetings


    • Coordinating with external consultants and design personnel


    • Provide ongoing training to existing users


    • Assist with CAD/BIM standards and the implementation throughout the company


    • Uphold the highest levels of quality in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards and as per our quality management system.

    Requirements
    · Relevant Qualification in BIM or Engineering( min 3-5 years)
    · Experience with Revit / Autocad / NavisWorks
    · Knowledge of Electrical Contracting/Construction projects
    · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability effectively engage with different personality types
    · In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products
    · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    · Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork, problem resolution and presentation skills.
    · Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
