A snapshot of your key responsibilities as Data Analyst would be:

· Utilise advanced data analysis techniques to interpret complex financial and actuarial data, extracting meaningful insights to inform decision-making processes.

· Gather, document, and articulate the data requirements of the Actuarial team, ensuring that the output of new systems aligns with existing processes and objectives.

· Facilitate the integration of new systems into actuarial processes, ensuring compatibility and optimising data flow for efficient analysis.

· Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, requirements, and analysis methodologies, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.

· Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on data outputs, identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors to ensure accuracy and reliability.

· Training and Support: Provide training and support to the Actuarial team on data analysis tools and techniques, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

· Strong background or knowledge in actuarial principles and methodologies, with a demonstrated ability to understand and interpret actuarial data.

· Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, particularly Excel and Access, with the ability to analyse large datasets effectively.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· Proven experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, with the ability to build strong working relationships and leverage diverse perspectives.

· Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, with the ability to identify and rectify errors in data analysis processes.

· Familiarity with database management tools, with the ability to query databases and extract relevant data for analysis.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field. Additional certifications or qualifications in data analysis or actuarial science are advantageous
