My client is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee their company based in Co. Cork.Duties and Responsibilities Day to day management of Site Operations including designated person to the EPA Ensuring and maintaining the safety, continuity and efficiency of waste management operations (including site assets) Managing the transfer of waste material inputs and outputs Support the development and implementation of waste management strategies, policies, and procedures in line with regulations and standards.
Working with our risk and assurance and technical team to support the interaction with internal and external stakeholders (HSA, EPA, Commercial & Residential neighbours, visitors, clients and contractors Manage abnormal and emergency situations i.e. accidents/environmental incidents, spillages as well as investigations of accidents, incidents, close calls, non conformities etc. Report and deal with contamination, non-compliant waste/product and any service, safety and environmental concerns (spills/leaks/litter/safe stacking, loading or storage of packaged waste/clean and well maintained bunds/odours or dust) This role may require occasional travel to different waste disposal facilities or regulatory agencies Experience and qualifications A minimum qualification of a Level 8 in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related fieldSkills:
