Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Limerick for a large Civil Engineering project.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Estimation and Analysis: Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
2. Cost Risk Management: Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
3. Procurement and Liaison: Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials and services.
4. Project Monitoring: Monitor project costs and progress, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
5. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
7. Contract Management: Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
8. Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess project progress and provide accurate valuations.

Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying.
2. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
3. Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
4. Software Proficiency: Proficient in the use of COINS, Bluebeam, MS Project software and MS Office suite.
5. Personal Qualities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and negotiation abilities, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Travel Requirements: Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
