    Description

    Job description Site Civil/Structural Engineer Cahalane Brothers Ltd are a Cork based Company in operation since 1953 and has a strong reputation for delivering projects to the highest quality workmanship through combining innovative solutions with a strong collective experience.

    Cahalane Brothers are now seeking an ambitious and problem-solving Experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to work on projects in Cork City or West Cork.

    You will work as part of a site team with on a range of building projects reporting into the Contract Manager.

    Currently Cahalane Brothers have a team of 4 Civil and Structural Engineers and across the team there is a lot of shared knowledge, but you also will be expected to be capable of working independently on projects you are assigned to.

    Responsibilities Setting out and surveying using company equipment. Coordination with internal site management and operatives.

    Coordination with Client and design teams Identification of missing information Raising RFIs Technical Submittals Full Understanding the project specifications and drawings to determine materials required on site and procurement of same Reporting to Contract Manager Use of Cable Avoidance Tools Writing of Risk Assessments and Method Statements and review of Subcontractor documents.

    Requirements Degree level qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering At least 3 years of relevant experience Ability to work individually and part of a team.
