Position: Design Engineer (Experienced)
Location: Sligo town
Responsibilities:
Design and develop new medical products.
Evaluate products/processes and maintain associated records.
Select raw materials, components, and suppliers.
Fabricate prototypes and test products.
Communicate project progression with customers/Project Managers.
Provide guidance to colleagues with less experience.
Drive product and process continuous improvement activities.
Adhere to company Health & Safety requirements.
Person Specification:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Experience in the medical device environment is advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
Motivated, self-starting with the ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of tasks.
Proficiency in a high-end CAD System, ideally Solidworks.
Hands-on approach to designing and fabrication.
Familiarity with strict international regulations regarding medical devices.
Position Details:
Full-time, Permanent contract.
