    Description

    IT Super User – Mitchelstown Cork 9 Month FTC

    Our client, based in Mitchelstown in Cork is looking for an Experienced IT Super User to join their team in a hybrid capacity on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract. This a is a role where you will be required to manage on-site hardware, collaborate on the National IT Systems, and keep an eye on server and network device status. This role will keep you on the go, strong co-ordination skills and interpersonal skills will be necessary to succeed in the position.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Server and Network Hardware

    · Swapping or installing network devices upon guidance from NIT

    · Rebooting Network devices (i.e. Switches, Routers, etc.)

    · Rebooting Servers post-update

    · Receive/store hardware onsite prior to NIT/contractor use

    · Contact for NIT UPS/Air conditioning equipment

    · Status checks of Server/Network device lights

    · Gather photos when requested by NIT

    End User Hardware

    · Purchasing IT hardware via NIT or Ariba

    · Placing and installation of photocopiers

    · Workstation/Laptop builds

    · Desk IT hardware installations/cabling

    · Managing device stock

    · Setting up printer share/shortcuts

    · Setting up video conferences, and troubleshooting these if required

    Phone Systems (on-premises or cloud)

    · Managing phone system and configuring features such as hunt-groups

    · Managing user accounts

    · Connections/patching

    Mobile Phone Systems

    · Ordering/organising mobile phones, both new and for repairs

    · Re-enrolling devices for Mobile Iron

    · AME requirements such as basic troubleshooting and PINs

    · Provide Wi-Fi settings

    · Configuration and Distribution of ALMEX devices

    Troubleshooting

    · Gather fault information from end users, both initial information and when requested by NIT

    · Gathering information from LITAMS, creating/escalating ServiceNow tickets

    · Using extended knowledge of the IT landscape to troubleshoot components in problematic devices - e.g. network cabling, workstation setup, power provision, WiFi availability and blackspots

    Coordination

    · Arranging downtime for services at the location under guidance from NIT

    · Coordinating maintenance teams to perform IT tasks if certain access is required

    · Act as onsite contact for NIT contractors

    · Issues permissions/passes/keys/vending tokens to NIT staff or contractors

    · Arrange hotels/taxies/pool cars

    · Act as contact between NIT and onsite maintenance for power related issues

    · Act as contact for requests and communications such as RFIs and Bulletins

    · Advise users on current IT policies

    Security and Permissions

    · Set up new users and mailboxes

    · Manage permission for users via ADM and Store ADM

    · Regular spot-checking and auditing of permissions granted within ADM

    · Password resets

    · Grants access to RES mailboxes
