    Childcare Area Manager

    As an Area Manager of Once Upon a Time, your role is to oversee and manage multiple childcare centres within a designated area. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of these centers while maintaining high-quality care and services for children and their families.

    Operational Management:

    Manage and supervise multiple childcare centres within your assigned area.
    Develop and implement operational strategies and policies to ensure the efficient running of the centers.
    Monitor and evaluate centre performance, including enrollment and attendance
    Ensure compliance with regulations related to childcare and early childhood education.
    Collaborate with centre head office managers to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children.

    Staff Management and Development:

    Recruit, train, and supervise centre managers and other staff members.
    Provide guidance and support to centre managers in implementing curriculum, behaviour management, and administrative procedures.
    Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues or concerns.
    Foster a positive and inclusive work culture, promoting professional growth and development among the staff.

    Program Development and Implementation:

    Oversee the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and educational programs.
    Collaborate with centere managers to ensure curriculum standards are met and educational goals are achieved.
    Monitor program quality and make recommendations for improvements or enhancements.
    Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education.

    Parent and Community Engagement:

    Foster positive relationships with parents, addressing their concerns and maintaining open lines of communication.
    Organize and attend staff meetings, workshops, and events to promote staff involvement.
    Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to enhance services and support for children and families.
    Develop and manage budgets for each center, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial sustainability.
    Monitor revenue and expenses, analyze financial reports, and take appropriate actions to achieve financial goals.
    Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation without compromising the quality of care.

    Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with licensing standards and internal policies.
    Address any compliance issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.

    Strategic Planning and Expansion:

    Contribute to the development of strategic plans for the childcare organization.
    Identify growth opportunities, assess market demands, and make recommendations for opening new centres or expanding existing ones.

    Requirements:

    Relevant childcare/Montessori qualifications e.g Degree, diploma, FETAC preferable. (Minimum FETAC level 5 - please note we cannot accept applications without at least a FETAC level 5 childcare qualification)
    At least 3 year of experience in a senior role is essential
