    Director of Nursing Position at Bethany House Nursing Home

    Beechfield Care Group is hiring a Director of Nursing to oversee the management of Bethany House Nursing Home in Tyrellspass, Co. Westmeath.

    This is a Specific Purpose / Fixed Term maternity leave cover contract with an expected start date in February 2025 and a duration of 6-9 months.

    About Bethany House Nursing Home

    Bethany House Nursing Home is a purpose-built residential home situated in the picturesque village of Tyrellspass, located near the M6 motorway in the heart of Ireland's Lake county, Westmeath.

    The nursing home is adjacent to Tyrellspass Castle and within walking distance of local amenities, including Browne's on The Green hotel and the local Church.

    About the Role:

    The Director of Nursing will be responsible for all aspects of care and services to residents, both clinically and operationally, and will manage all staff within the nursing home.

    The Director of Nursing will ensure that all legislative requirements are maintained.

    • Day-to-day management of the nursing home
    • Quality of Care Responsibilities
    • Management of HIQA regulations
    • Health & Safety

    Candidate Requirements:

    • Registered with NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland)
    • Previous experience in managing a designated centre
    • Relevant qualifications or accredited training
    • Excellent Clinical, Leadership, and Organisational skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Sound decision-making ability
    • Level 6 Management / Supervisory Qualification
    • At least 3 years' experience at management level
