    Software Test Engineer

    Our client are excited to introduce a pivotal role within their test function that will significantly contribute to ensuring the quality of their Products. As a Software Test Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Test Lead to formulate effective test strategies for multiple projects and programs. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing test scripts, executing them, and ensuring their maintenance throughout the product lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Test Planning:
    • Collaborate with the Test Team Lead to define effective test strategies for new systems and solutions entering the market.
    • Test Practices Development:
    • Scripting for Functionality:
    • Create meticulous test scripts for prioritized functionality, emphasizing their role in regression testing.
    • Defect Management:
    • Identify and raise defects, diligently following through their lifecycle to uphold product quality.
    • Automation Planning:
    • Actively participate in project planning sessions to identify optimal opportunities for test automation.
    • Automation Scripting:
    • Develop and maintain automation test scripts in alignment with the overall project plan.

    • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
    • Technical Prowess:
    • Seek continuous improvement through training and development, sharing acquired expertise with the team.
    • Initiative and Innovation:
    • Display a proactive attitude, taking ownership of tasks and seeking out opportunities for improvement and innovation.

    Educational Background and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in a computing-related discipline or equivalent, coupled with at least 2 years of experience in a software testing role.
    • Proven experience in creating clear and detailed test plans/cases, preferably within an Agile development environment.
    • Familiarity with the banking sector is advantageous, and experience with test automation tools is a plus.
