    Description

    The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to the teaching, research, and administrative activities in the Discipline of Radiation Therapy. The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to expanding their reputation in teaching and research in the field of radiation therapy. They will have experience working in a radiation therapy clinical department.

    The Discipline offers a B.Sc. (Hons) in Radiation Therapy, which has strong clinical and academic components as well as online postgraduate certificate, diploma, and MSc. in Advanced Radiotherapy. Candidates must hold a B.Sc in Radiation Therapy and will have some experience working in a radiation therapy department. The successful candidate, who will join the Discipline's multidisciplinary team, will be expected to contribute to the current undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as appropriate, to be actively involved in research and in our outreach and civic engagement programmes.

    Post Title: Assistant Professor in Radiation Therapy

    Post status: Specific Purpose Contract

    This is a Specific Purpose Contract. It is for the specific purpose of filling an Assistant Professor vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from authorized leave. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return. If the postholder does not return to work the post will be filled through open competition

    Hours of Post: Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements. For further information please follow:

    Salary: Appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy (€39,469 to €95,441 per annum)
