Job Description
The ADON - Assistant Director of Nursing assumes responsibility for directing and coordinating the management of the nursing home, maintaining a high standard of residential care and activities.

Working alongside the Director of Nursing (DON), the ADON supports and assists in managing all staff to uphold the standards set by the Nursing Home. Additionally, the role involves establishing and nurturing relationships with residents built on mutual respect and equality.

Roles and Responsibilities include:-

• Acting as the DON in the absence of the Director of Nursing, adhering to relevant health regulations and standards
  
• Assisting the DON in overseeing the organisation, management, and operations of the Nursing Home
  
• Providing leadership and clinical supervision to staff to enhance standards and morale
  
• Creating and maintaining a residential environment where residents feel supported and valued
  
• Ensuring adequate staffing levels for high-quality care delivery and smooth operations
  
• Serving as a resource to nursing staff in planning and implementing care
  

Requirements

• Third Level Degree in Nursing
  
• Live NMBI registration
  
• Valid certifications in relevant areas such as infection control, manual handling, medication management, etc
  
• Minimum 5 years of post-registration nursing experience
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Nursing Home setting
  
• Minimum 1 year of management experience
