    Description

    Benen Fahy Associates is seeking a dedicated Home Care Assistant for a private Client/Employer on a full-time permanent basis for a private residence in the Galway City area.

    The role will involve providing home/support assistance to one elderly resident at their home.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Attend to patient's personal care needs and assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
    • Provide a high standard of care and service within the service user's home place.
    • Ensure excellent communication between service users and their family members.
    • Assist service users with any mobility needs they may have.
    • Assist with household tasks such as preparing meals and light cleaning.
    • Maintain written documentation of each visit as required by the client.
    • Report any change in needs of the service user to the Employer.

    Requirements

    • Previous homecare experience is essential.
    • Excellent communication and organisational abilities are required.
    • A reliable, caring, and compassionate healthcare professional is needed.
    • A good level of oral and written English is necessary.
    • The candidate must hold appropriate work authorisation to work in Ireland (e.g., EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work visa).
    • All applications will be treated with full confidentiality.
    • The salary is €34,000.00 per annum based on a 39 hour work week.
