    Description

    Product Designer - Ashbourne

    We are seeking a talented and creative Product Designer to join our dynamic team Reporting to the Marketing Manager the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail products excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and a flair for branding You will play a key role in developing innovative product designs that resonate with our target audience and enhance our brand identity.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Product Design: Conceptualize and create innovative product designs that align with market trends and consumer needs.

    Concept Development: Create innovative packaging designs that reflect our brand and resonate with our target audience.

    Design Execution: Develop detailed packaging designs from scratch including structural and graphic elements.

    Barcode Integration: Design and incorporate barcodes and other necessary labeling into packaging layouts.

    Collaborate with photographers and illustrators to source or create high-quality images for packaging.

    Specification Documentation: Prepare detailed packaging specifications including materials dimensions and production processes.

    Collaboration: Work closely with marketing product development and production teams to ensure packaging designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements.

    Quality Control: Review prototypes and final products to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.

    • Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with packaging trends and best practices to ensure designs are competitive and innovative.
    • Supplier Liaison: Collaborate effectively with suppliers to ensure design feasibility quality and timely production Facilitate clear communication between teams to resolve any issues that arise.
    • Branding: Develop and maintain a cohesive brand identity across product lines ensuring that all designs reflect our brand values and aesthetics.
    • Market Research: Conduct research on market trends competitor products and consumer preferences to inform design decisions.
    • Prototyping: Create sketches 3D models and prototypes to visualize and present design concepts.
    • Feedback Implementation: Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders customers and team members to refine and enhance product designs.
    • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously ensuring timelines and budgets are met.

    What We Are Looking For

    • Bachelor's degree in Product Design Industrial Design or a related field.
    • Proven experience in product design particularly in the retail sector.
    • Strong understanding of materials manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
    • A strong portfolio showcasing your design work and branding expertise.
    • Proficiency in design software e.g. Adobe Creative Suite CAD programs.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and a passion for innovation.

    Estimated salary €50,000 - €60,000 per annum based on location and industry standards.
